Traditional Haflinger Horserace
This race on easter monday is the start of the horse race season at the Maia race course. It will begin in the morning with a procession of the Haflinger horses accompanied by traditional bands and floats through the city center of Merano.

South Tyrol Spring Half Marathon
About 1600 runners are expected to participate in this run over the classical half marathon distance of 21,0975 km.
The track leads from Freiheitsstrasse in the center of Merano via Lange Gasse to Algund and then via Alte Landstraße, Karl Wolf Straße and Rennweg back to the city center.
The course record is 1:00,59 for men and 1:11,30 for women.

The readings and jury discussions of this year's lyric contest in Merano will take place in the Pavillon de Fleurs at the Kurhaus. The award show will be on the 8th of May after the readings.

International Mountain Run Meran 2000
Participants of this mountain run have to overcome exhausting 1700 highmetres and a distance of 14 km before they reach the finish line at the Piffinger Köpfl at Meran 2000, which is 2.000 m above sealevel.
The start for men is at the Kurpromenade in Merano and the women's start is in Schenna (10:15).

The South Tyrol Classic Festival in Merano takes a prominent position within european festivals. The mediterranian climate and the impressive mountains of the Meranerland contribute create a unique flair, where musicians, orchestras and fans of classical music from all over europe meet to celebrate great concerts.
Like the years before, there are 3 concerts tracks. The crossover series „Colours of Music“ with jazz, experimental and world music takes place at the Stadttheater. The „Matinée Classique“ chamber music concerts will be at the Pavillon des Fleurs of the Kurhaus Merano. The highlight of the festival, the symphony concerts, can be enjoyed at the Kursaal of the Kurhaus Merano.
